MIA?

I have been coming back to this "diary" of mine pretty often recently, reading back on the posts I have written in the past. Honestly, I did not know I could write that way... After reading all my memories of my UK trip back in 2009, I realized that I might need to just also leave some footprints here regarding my Taiwan trip. Just in case in a few months time, I don't remember exactly what happened in my most enjoyable and memorable trip. How am I to start? I haven't even started sorting out my photos yet. But I would eventually because the feeling and excitment of reading back those memories are enjoyable and I hope to be able to do that for this trip as well. :)

what a monday

Monday came, a day most of us in the office was looking forward to.

But everything turned out so different. IT's not final yet. Haven't seen the new boss yet. But i'm facing some uncertainties that might likely happen to me. I'm very scared right now.

God, please don't do this to me. Maybe it's really time for me to do something.

Please Please Please please don't pick me. I had enough of it last year. Please DO NOT PICK ME!!!

DOn't please don't!!!

counting down: 1 month

I believe it has been long since I wrote anything here. And today, I decided to again.

Working so far has been alright. Many ups and downs, considering the situation I have in my working environment. I can be so stress at one time, or under stress to a point that I actually feel so useless.

My first job. My first experience. And as I grow older, the harder I find it to make real true friends.

But I have been blessed by God to meet my closest colleugue. Maybe I shouldn't even refer her as my colleugue because she is no doubt one of my closest friends now. I remember how kind of her to empathize the loneliness I felt when I first entered this office. Everyone was simply too busy to talk to me or help me adapt to this unfamiliar environment. I find it so difficult because people around me really will affect my performance and self confidence.

We clicked so well because we really have so many similar interest. When I was facing work dilemmas and work stress, she was there. When she was down and helpless, I was there. We grew up together in this difficult environment and we always talk about leaving this place when we reach our one year term.

Talking about it became like a habit that you just wouldn't think it is coming. And suddenly, she was talking more often about it, including going for interviews and looking for her job so actively. And then, all the stress hit her and she decided to tender her resignation. We have been talking, but suddenly, she said she was ready to leave.

She finally handled the letter today. I encouraged her. Because why would I want to see her suffer in this company? But when we were hanging out, trying to digest whatever that just happened, I guess it finally hit in.

I went for dinner, putting aside this incident. But while I was driving back from Sunway Giza, just a short 10 minutes drive, it really made me feel sad.

Who am I going to chat with all day in office when there is nothing to do? Who am I to go lunch with after this? Who to hang out with once in a way after such a boring day at work? Who, the only person every willing to help out anything, do I look for?

Everything will change. Everyday will change.

Only 1 month left. Sometimes, I really wished, that, like both of us hope, that we actually get to tender together. But plans can never catch up with changes.

I really dislike that woman who made her leave!

It's never going to be the same again. And surely, I will miss you!

It's my birthday!

I'm 23. I thought I was 23 last year. So, I actually earned a year, mentally. =)

This year's birthday was more Yit Lao since most of my buddies are back in Malaysia. Putting aside the horrible stomach problem I had for the whole week, I really had a blast catching up with friends and getting pampered well on my birthday, after such a long time.

Got wonderful gifts from wonderful people. And yet, my "lovely" brother did not get me anything, besides the expensive dinner (whom my dad paid half). He keeps claiming how expensive my gift was last year (it wasn't even a gift but more like a ...... replacement....)

Anyways, not here to complain...

I'm still indulging with the chocolates I got (in fact i ate 2 whole large bars today). Enjoying the warmness the scarf provides when it's wrapped around me during the cold freezing office hour. Not forgetting my white clean pretty beautiful watch I wear very often. Only the pyjamas, I have yet to open ceremony (don't worry, i will soon!).

Parents and sister weren't home for my birthday this year. So were my favorite friends in NZ and Aussie. I miss celebrating with both of you!

It was definitely a good birthday!

(PS: I really need to make sure I stay on the left side each time I take photo! =))

This is a Friday Night?

started off with a bad week. everything was just not right. on monday, was looking forward for tuesday to end. on tuesday, looking forward to wednesday, then thursday, then friday.....

i now understand the feeling my sister had tried explaining to me last year. and i happened to realized, you won't understand it unless you are working. i'm sorry sister... it's sad and disappointing when after a bad week or hard week of work that when you are looking forward to the fun and relaxing friday, everything just don't happen.

it's the second time already.

and each time, i come home with the same feeling.

i wonder how sister felt whenever she asked me to plan something but i ended up planning nothing.

and it's true, you will never understand the urge to have a weekend, unless you are working.

weekend is just so different for students compared to working people. i used to think that it's the same. but seriously, it's not.

it's the same situation when you tell young people to enjoy studying because seriously, working sucks.

maybe it doesn't apply to everyone.

but working for my sucks. i'm actually suffering a bit. but it's a good training for me.

i just need to find a way to release all this tensions and frustration.

but unfortunately, i realized, i got nobody to turn to for support.

it sucks, but hey, this is reality.

how i wish i get the opportunity to go into another world... like how alice did in her wonderland.

yes, i watched alice in wonderland today. and i did something i thought i never will do in my life, watching a movie alone.

sigh, it's just a bad week + hormons unbalance = emotional me.

i need to get out of this position soon. either psycho myself, or get myself another new environment.

i wished i can go back to my bumming days in london. for those who knows about my "depressed" moments in london, yes, this is worst and that is why i actually don't mind london more now........

Fruitful December

December came and left, just like that. Looking back at all the events that happened, it did not felt like it happened just one month back.

Sister came home. Marilee came home. Suzzane left for Taiwan.

And now, sister is back in London, and so is Suzzane, in Malaysia.

Everything happened in a blink. How scary.

This time last year, I was still in dilemma if I should look for a job or not. This time this year, I am considering of changing job.

I still can remember the anticipation I had last year, waiting for my long awaited UK trip. But now, all I have is waiting for weekends to come.

I have a very un-interesting life now. Work has tied me down in a way that I feel so reluctant to socialize. All I look forward for is my bed and the shows every day. I thought it is because I have not adapted to the working lifestyle. But it does not seem so anymore. Just too much work. And apparently, it gets worst.

I have a full long story about my working life and looks like this should not be the place for me to blurt all out or I will go on and on and on about it. Interesting people, interesting stories, interesting workload.......

Anyways, back to December......

Selina, my cousin's wedding was a blast. We were all very much involved as she's one of the first cousin whose ages is close to us to get married.

And I'm starting to feel that us cousins treasure the moments we get to gather together.

Ps: i gave up loading pictures.....

the 6 of us who grew up together: bro, me, sis, chui, li, hui

and soon, my sister will be back! didn't really feel excited at all but now i am!

and i have all 4 working days for the rest of the month!

my lovely december.

and after december, a new year ahead. and i guess that is when i should be afraid.........

till then, let's just enjoy this month of joy and love, because it's the month that will remind us of the birth of christ.
