The Flashback 3: My Room Project

There are both advantages and disadvantages for being unemployed. It took me about 2 months to accept the fact that I won't be working and that I should adjust to the lifestyle of having fun being lazy and restless, instead of worrying about all the stuff that I am giving up. I chose to take a break, even during this economy crisis.

Will it be worth? Once again, I will never know because I chose to take this exposure opportunity. All this while, I have always wanted to do something different, something uncertain. Since young, my life has been following the normal routine everyone else do - school, high school, college university... and work straight away. It will frustrate me and make me so insecure if I'm not following the "rules". But now, everything I decided is against those "rules". Full of uncertainty. Something I should learn to adapt, to take the risk, and take full responsible for my decisions. God, please make sure everything will be okay?

So not me for opting for uncertainties. But I will take the challenge!

Because of the plan, I have been playing since I graduate, just waiting for time to pass. January was fine because there was preparation for CNY. Feb was ok too because I still have a few companies to go out with. March was the worrying month. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Working was out of the question already.

So, I decided to give my room a make over. I had to urge to "refurnish" the room, in the sense that I would get all the position of the furniture changed (which I do it once in a while).

It took me about a week to finish up my room. Not that I am slow. I have to spend my time wisely, after all I have to occupy my time until 28th comes.

Day 1 - Wiped the walls + shifted all the furniture into the middle of the room and some out of the room + buying paint.

Day 2 - Preparation for painting + painted the first coat

Day 3 - Time for touch up (this was extremely tiring as I had to climb up and down several times) + cleaning up

Day 4 - (few days later) - Rearranged my room.

The final product:

*during the day*

*during the night*

Yes, I chose purple color. In fact, at first, I wanted 2 colors so that I can paint in on alternate walls and my options were blue and purple. But paint was just too expensive and I have no income so I ended up with just one color. Was so afraid to tell Tiffany but in the end I made sure she was informed before she finds out from some one else. HAHA

Unfortunately, or maybe, fortunately, there are still left over paint. So, my next task would be to finish up the paint by giving the down stair rooms a brand new look too.

Week 1 of March ended like that.
